Field Trips • The first grade team is currently in the process of planning field trips for this year. We will be glad to share the dates and locations with you soon. • Please remember…. If you volunteer to chaperone on a field trip, you must register as a WCPSS volunteer on a school computer.
Homework • Get Go Gator signed and discuss your Child’s reflection sheet. • Read EVERY night (10 minutes. ) • Math pages… will be introducing • soon • Practice sight words & word families • Wake County policy is that first grade homework should take no longer than 20 minutes each night. Blue homework folders will be sent home on Mondays and will be expected to be returned on Fridays of the same week. • Letterland practice…will be introducing soon

Interims & Report Cards • Interims sent home to students half-way through 1 st quarter, 2 nd quarter, 3 rd quarter, and 4 th quarter. Parent conferences will be held at any time upon request. • Report cards are sent home with students at the end of each quarter. • Student-led conferences will be at the end of the 4 th quarter.
