Main points discussed in the emergency meeting: • Due to the inability of several Major Superiors to attend the re-scheduled Joint Meeting on 6 -7 October, 2016 at St. Anne’s Generalate, Loadih, Samlong, Ranchi. • The ‘Official’ CRI-JHAAN Sectional Meeting will not take place at that meeting. However, those who are able to attend are encouraged to do so.

Emergency Meeting • Two alternative dates were proposed for the CRI-JHAAN Sectional Meeting 2016: • 26 November OR 10 December, 2016. Venue will be Arrupe Nivas (Jesuit Provincialate), Hazaribag. The Major Superiors, Rexco and Lexco members were requested to choose one of the two dates at the earliest and inform the Secretary of CRI-JHAAN at the earliest. Whichever date gets majority support will be chosen and intimated.

Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Jesuit Provincial of Ranchi, to help with improving the draft of the Trust Deed for CRI-JHAAN, which was under preparation.

Emergency Meeting • A request will be presented at the Joint Meeting in October 2016 on behalf of CRI-JHAAN, to revert to the earlier practice (As BIJHAAN days) of having the Joint Meeting every year during the week following the Feast of Christ the King. This was in view of the severe inconveniences faced mainly by the Major Superiors. • A CRI-SEC meeting had been scheduled in Delhi on 15 -16 October 2016. The Regional Secretary and 5 Social Workers of the Region, who have already attended such meetings, were expected to participate in that meeting. Sr. Lalita will contact Social Workers of the Region and send the list of participants from JHAAN Region to Sr. Reetha CCV, the Coordinaor of the meeting.

Joint Meeting 6 & 7 Oct. 2016 (RBC, CRI & CDPI) • The annual joint meeting of the JHAAN Regional Bishops Council (RBC), the Conference of the Religious of India (CRI) and the conference of the Diocesan Priests of India (CDPI) took place in October 6 -7, 2016 at St. Anne’s Generalate, Loadih, Ranchi. • There were 27 participants including the Cardinal, Bishops, Major Superiors and CRI, CDPI executive members. • The theme of the meeting was ‘The Government Policies and the Response of the Church’.
