Welcome to Court Street Elementary School Mrs. Jackie Clinard Principal

The Beginning of the School Day ¬Students enter the classrooms at 8: 50. ¬School day begins at 9: 00. ¬Children are welcomed off the buses in the morning. Teachers will help the children find their classrooms. Parent volunteers will help the first week of school.

A Kindergarten Schedule ¬ 90 minute Literacy block in the morning ¬ Math block ¬ Writing block ¬ 2 days/week Music: Each class is 30 minutes ¬ 2 days/week Art: Each class is 40 minutes ¬ 4 days/week Physical Education: 30 minutes ¬ 30 minute Lunch: Parent volunteers will help in the lunchroom on the first day of school

More Fun During the School Day ¬Playground time ¬Rest time ¬School assemblies ¬Character education assemblies ¬Field trips ¬After school club begins in January: Storybook Theater

The End of the School Day ¬ If you are picking-up your child at the end of the school day, sign-out is in the cafeteria at 3: 20. Please have photo identification available! ¬ Kindergarteners and first graders are called to the buses at 3: 25. Second and third graders are called afterwards. Teachers walk the kindergarteners to the buses and children sit towards the front of the bus.

YMCA Program ¬Before and after school child watch programs are available at Court Street Elementary School. Contact the Lancaster YMCA for more information at 684 -2395.

Food Service: Point of Sales ¬ Program is available to prepay for school meals and snacks. ¬ Visit Court Street Elementary School at www. lancasterschools. org and click on Food Service Department.
