Scheduling Process At each school… 1. Parent Coffee 2. Meet with Students in science classes to explain scheduling. 3. Meet with students individually one week later to check schedules.

SCHEDULING PROCESS Freshman Center Counselors go to the three middle schools and will provide

SCHEDULING PROCESS Freshman Center Counselors go to the three middle schools and will provide scheduling information during 8 th grade Science classes in the computer labs. During these meetings, students will receive a scheduling worksheet and instruction packet. Students will learn how to use the scheduling worksheet and how to access the on-line scheduling system. They will take materials home and, with their parents, select their 9 th grade courses on-line.

SCHEDULING PROCESS – next step The Freshmen Center Counselors will return the following week

SCHEDULING PROCESS – next step The Freshmen Center Counselors will return the following week and will meet individually with each student, checking the course requests that were selected using the on-line system. Questions will be answered any necessary adjustments will be made to the student’s schedule. After the student has met with the counselor, parents may view the finalized course requests on-line.

Open Window for On-line Scheduling • The online scheduling window opens the day that the HS counselors meet with the students through the following Monday at 10 PM. • Monday after 10 PM the on-line scheduling will be locked so only HS counselors can make changes.

How do I change my schedule after meeting with the Counselor? • A parent should e-mail the freshman counselor for any elective changes or questions about the course requests. • Schedule change requests need to be made by March 1 st. Requests for changes made between March 1 st and May 1 st will be honored only if seats are still available in a class.
