Habits of Discussion • Always track the speaker. • Respond to your peers’ ideas. – I agree with ---, because ---. – I disagree with ---, because ---. – I want to build on what --- said.
Collecting Papers • Partner A hands their paper to Partner B. • Starting in the front row, Partner B hands their papers to the person behind them. • When all papers are at the back row, papers are passed towards the door. • The person with whole stack will clip the papers and place them in the bin by the door.
Exiting Class • Put your classwork in the appropriate section of your class binder. • Close your class binder and stack it with your partner’s binder in the middle of your desks. • Complete the Exit Ticket. • When instructed to do so, pass in the Exit Ticket.
Exiting Class • Pack your backpack and put it on your back. Don’t forget your homework binder! • When everyone is ready, I will dismiss the class.
