Board Member’s Report Bashir Baloch • • • Some schedule changes coming up in the January board period. Please keep filling those TIPS forms to help improve the schedules. WINTER IS HERE! PLEASE DRIVE SAFE!
Board Member’s Report Jason Capp Due to the increased workload, additional Operators, and Operators failing to be prepared with their bidding choices at their bidding time, the bidding room staff will no longer be able to make your choices for you, or select work based on your direction over the phone. We simply do not have the time to do this any longer, and it severely lengthening the time for bidding, and frustrating the staff, as well as those operators who have their choices/slips ready but must wait because other operators weren’t ready. This is YOUR responsibility to be ready for bid time or have a completed bid slip submitted in advance. *** PLEASE have your bid slips submitted in advance of your bid day or be present and ready with your choices. Do not hold up other operators who have already done their homework and come prepared. If you are unable to meet this simple request, and after one phone call to your ‘on file’ phone number are unable to supply us with this info, we will have no choice but to assign you the next available crew we see fit.
Vice President’s Report Dale Jaecques • I am dealing with management on the horrible job that the contractors have done with their first snow removal on most of our properties this year. • M. O. L. was present when an operator backed up a bus in the garage without a spotter. In training we all learned that we should NEVER back up a bus without a spotter. You will ALWAYS be wrong if you hit anything. Remember people walk everywhere in a Terminal. DO NOT TAKE CHANCES! Always call dispatch and ask for a spotter if you need to get around another bus!
Financial Treasurer’s Report John Zahreddine • VERBAL REPORT ONLY
President’s Report Rob Goudie • As we approach Christmas, and we start our shopping, lets remember the employees that work in the stores that we shop in. The majority are part time employees, most places no longer hire full time, when you use the self-serve check outs that’s one less employee that company must hire, that job lost could mean the difference of someone living in a rental or living in a shelter. I also ask that when possible go to the mall, shop local, keep the stores in business. For the effects of online shopping just look at Sears, many employees lost their pensions and benefits.
