Nathan is 6. He designed a mug for World Peace. Can you see he has drawn a flower, a globe and a person who is ‘half black and half white’ Nathan says: ‘Let’s all live in peace and share our world. ’
Jo, 14: ‘My sculpture has three hands together. It is called ‘Faith in the Future’. People who are different can share the world and live together. We can all help people to respect each other. ”
“I made a satin cushion. I chose the saying ‘develop love, scatter love, reap love. No religion is higher than that’ It shows the idea that all humans need to learn to love each other. I believe we can do this, for a better world. ” Asma, 14
Conor, 7 “I have made a picture of my own spirit. Sometimes I’m excited. Sometimes I’m messy. Sometimes I’m moody. I am always active and I keep moving. I would like to share my spirit with other people’s spirits. ”
“In this idea, all the different religions light up the world and make it possible for everyone to see clearly. I believe that we can share one world even if we are all different. We need to talk to each other about our differences, and keep the peace” Toni, 11.
Kate, 13 My picture shows a girl who is shy. People think she is just a grey person. But in her imagination, it is full colour, with unicorns! You can’t always see a person’s spiritual side. Even when we look ordinary on the outside, our spirits can be lively, exciting and burning with life. You have to listen really carefully to people if you want to know them for real. ”
David, 7 “I made this sunset picture out of gold and red foil and strips of tissue. I cut out the letters P-E-A-C-E to spell peace. This is what I think the world needs. Peace. ”
Think and talk about the 7 examples you have seen. Which one would you choose to be the logo for Inter Faith Week and why? Can you design your own entry? Can you make a logo for Inter Faith Week? Make it as beautiful, interesting, respectful and wonderful as you can. If you win, it will be published! There will be some small prizes for the best entries
