MRS. DANIELLA BUONOMO-GRAMATA Graduate of Rutgers College, Rutgers University with a BA in Psychology and Italian Language Graduate of Rutgers Graduate School of Education with a Masters in Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education K-8. Served on the CST as a Learning Consultant conducting educational testing in LPS.
OUR CLASS Co-teaching class-(Special Education teacher and Content Area teacher) 2 teachers who share equal responsibility of instruction, reinforcement, assessment. Differentiation of instruction, use of strategies incorporated into curriculum to appeal to various learning styles. Beneficial for students to get that extra support when needed.
COURSE DESCRIPTION This college prep course is designed for students who wish to meet the Algebra 1 requirement for college entrance, however may require additional support in both mathematics content and test-taking strategies in order to do so. This course will be taught in a double period which will include a lab component.

COURSE MATERIALS Textbook 3 ring binder Pencils (No Pen) Calculator-yellow (Students are given a calculator to use throughout their 4 years at the high school) It should be brought to class daily to assist with class work and assessments.
INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES Different learning styles – visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile Learning Inventory to gather information Assessing learning styles facilitates the method of instruction Use of different methods based on feedback from students
GRADING SYSTEM Based on a point scale Each graded assignment will be given a certain point value. Summative Assessments-Activities, Quizzes, Tests, Homework Not all assignments are graded as some are considered formative assessments Encourage students to check grades on Genesis
