Honors Academy Students interested in achieving the highest academic rigor at KP are encouraged to enroll in the Honors Academy. Participation is noted on school transcripts. OUR ROLE IS TO HELP STUDENTS REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL ELA Statistics of Success • 98% of KP students achieved Proficient or Advanced on the 2017 MCAS Test • 62% achieved "Advanced" compared to the state's average of 47% • 155 of 334 students (47% of the Class of 2017) took AP English during their junior year. • The average score for these students was a 3. 4 out of 5 on the exam. • Almost half of the students (68) received a score of 4 or 5 out of 5 on the exam. • Many colleges accept AP scores of 3 or above for college credit or allow students to pass out of their writing requirement.

KPHS Peer Tutoring Center The Peer Tutoring Center is available throughout the school day and afterschool for students to access free tutoring support from highly successful KPHS upperclassmen. These students are taking the Peer Tutoring Internship class offered at KPHS. Tutoring in all core subject areas and many electives is available at the Peer Tutoring Center.
