Daily Routines ● ● ● ● Log into Google classroom Check welcome board for Learning Goal and Do Now Do now will most likely be a word of the day vocabulary practice. Complete Vocab Routine while attendance is being taken Be ready for whole group lesson(25 min) Small Grouping or classwork assignment will follow whole group lesson Everyone will be called back for a wrap up/goodbye/important update

Reading ★ ★ Important !! Independent reading novels Fiction ○ Class novels ○ Notice and Note Signposts ○ Short Stories Nonfiction ○ Articles, memoirs, biographies, autobiographies, argumentative and opinion pieces

Benchmark Assessments Reading Inventory - establishes Lexile Reading Level Link-It - Reading Comprehension and writing tasks

Grading Policy ● ● ● Class participation- attending the FULL class. This means you are in the google meet the full amount of time and you are ATTENTIVE. Class participation-Daily Vocab check in and any other work assigned that is not an assessment. (assignments posted in classroom) Assessments- MP book reports, Monthly book conferences, assessments at the end of lessons/units.

Grading Policy Late Work: 10 points will be deducted for each day late Participation/Classwork 30% Homework 20% Assessments 50% After one week, the assignment will be a zero

After School Help ● ● After school help will be Tuesday and Thursday from 1: 30 -2: 30 An announcement will be made on Google classroom and students will be required to sign up. I will send a link to meet after school. Please keep in mind you may be asked to stay even if you don’t need help if I feel the need to work on something with you in a smaller group. I will be flexible and work around your schedule!
