Supplies Your child MUST wear a mask daily. Please provide your child with one. Hillcrest will be handing out lanyards to help keep track of the masks.

Supplies Please have your supplies ready to go on the first day. Unwrap/unpack all supplies and write your child’s name on the supplies at home. We will not do this at school. Your child will prepare their binder and pencil pouch the first day of school.

Subject Information Each teacher will have an active website with links to provide current information for each subject for parents and students to access at school and at home. 1. 6 th Grade Math Your child will have two math blocks this year. In Mrs. Williams’s math block, she will cover new material. In Mrs. Barrette’s math block, she will review and apply the new skills learned from Mrs. Williams’s room. 6 th Grade Math is a building block year in math! 80% of the standards taught will be new to the students. Earth and Space Science You will learn about real-world events that you hear on the news. Earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, moon phases… Each unit has hands-on investigations to make the material more concrete and understandable. I am so excited to get started. EVERYTHING we do in class will be on my website.
