Required Supplies: ● ● ● Backpacks (no rolling backpacks) Supply box (plastic only) Pencils and erasers (mechanical pencils allowed) 3 composition books (wide ruled) 24 count of crayons (1 box) 12 pack of colored pencils (1 box) 1 pair of student scissors 2 glue sticks 2 dry erase markers 2 plastic pocket folders 2 pack highlighters *Consumable supplies may need to be replaced every 9 weeks. Please label all supplies with your child’s name. Teachers will update families with supplies that need to be replenished throughout the school year. Thank you for your support! Digital Academy Schedule The Digital Academy schedule will follow suit with the Brick & Mortar schedule; however students will be given times for independent work, centers, lunch, etc. Schedules will be posted by individual teachers.

Digital Expectations • Please refer to the Alachua County Public Schools Digital Academy Norms. • Please see below for a list of things to consider. • Background noise (electronics, side conversations, pets, etc. ) • Student backgrounds should be limited to a solid color or low traffic areas of their house such as a wall, window, or bookcase. • Lighting (bright lit areas are best) • Limit the student area free of distractions. This includes extra people, toys, pets, electronics. Phones, video games, and tablets not being used for the use of class is not acceptable.

Some highlights from this document include: ✘Students and Staff will wear masks. Mask breaks will be given at a safe distance. ✘Hand Sanitizer available in every classroom. ✘Floor markings to show traffic flow. ✘Transportation changes can now be given through email. See specific restrictions including using the email listed in Skyward only, and who it needs to be sent to. ✘New lunch procedures. ✘Limited shared supplies. Sanitizing procedures in place for any shared items. ✘Classrooms arranged for maximum social distancing. ✘Social-emotional learning incorporated into instruction for extra support. ✘Socially distant entrance points and dismissal routes for all students.

How You Can Help • Please evaluate your child for Covid-19 symptoms. If they are experiencing symptoms please keep them home. All students will be temperature checked upon arrival in their classroom. • Possible symptoms include fever/chills, new dry cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle of body aches, headache, new loss or taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. • Consider sending your child with a clean reusable water bottle daily. • Please label all individual supplies.

Visitors • Before coming on campus individuals must be approved by administration and schedule an appointment with the school. • Prior to 7: 45 am, all visitors will check in with the teacher on duty. After 7: 45 am, visitors will need to call the office upon arrival. • All individuals entering the school must complete a health screening questionnaire and wear a face covering at all times.

Mandatory Retention ● Third Graders must receive a passing score on the ELA portion

Mandatory Retention ● Third Graders must receive a passing score on the ELA portion of the FSA in order to meet promotion requirements and move on to Fourth grade. ● In the event that the test scores are not in on time or used for promotion for the next year, data from other testing given during the school year will be used to determine promotion. ● By Florida law, 3 rd grade is a mandatory retention year.

PBIS / Class Dojo ● We will use the school-wide color chart for tracking

PBIS / Class Dojo ● We will use the school-wide color chart for tracking behavior. ● Students receive Class Dojo points for positive behavior. They can be used for special events PBIS events. ● All students will begin their day on green. Green is Great! ● Students will move up to blue when they display outstanding behavior. ● We will recognize our Norton Knight of the Week each Friday.
