WELCOME TO 2 nd Grade CURRICULUM NIGHT!

Council Rock PTSA Building Chairs: Emily Brown, Stephanie Bush and Kathryn Kubiak-Rizzone
• We strive to help forge a great homeschool connection • We sponsor community service drives and hardship grants and also assist at many events in the Council Rock Community such as author visits, staff appreciation events, Fun Food Friday and more. • We are able to sponsor many of these great events with the proceeds from calendar sales and other fundraisers • Host monthly PTSA Meetings with the Principal What We Do: – An open forum for CRPS community discussions – Next “Let’s Chat” meeting : Tuesday, November 6 th from 12 noon-1 PM

Community Service • • Volunteers help collect and organize items and distribute them to the community at large. Events - Service events - Donation drives, such as: Backpack/School Supply Drive Getting Ready for Winter Drive Toy and Book Drive Thank you for generous support during the Backpack/School Supply Drive!
Library Volunteers • • Assist the library in shelving books returned by students A great opportunity to see your kids in an alternative environment! School Pictures • Help make sure kids look great for pictures! • Help collect money and organize picture slips • School pictures is the PTSA’s biggest fundraiser
Staff Appreciation • Help organize a luncheon for Council Rock staff • Provide or help collect donations for food and gifts • Decorate the cafeteria with a fun theme Book Fair • Help transform the school auditorium into a mini-book store • Help children with book selections • Cash kids out
Ice Cream Social • Help to direct families • Assist with selling ice cream • Help keep cafeteria clean during event
Hospitality • Donate back-to-school apple treats for teachers • Provide snacks for monthly teacher meetings • Souper Bowl Monday • Provide treats for teacher appreciation week
Volunteer! • Go to the district website www. bcsd. org • From the Parents dropdown tab, select Brighton PTSA • Click on the 2018 -2019 PTSA Volunteer Form link • Fill out the form and select Done • Thank you! • Check the PTSA Corner in Tappon Times, PTSA e. News, and PTSA bulletin board for upcoming events!

A Little More about Parent Portal 1. New families: email from School. Tool, in the next couple days If this email is not in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder depending on your security settings. Parents with older children who already have parent portal access: CR and FRES added so they will see all their children in the BCSD. 2. This email will contain a temporary password you will use to sign in. As passwords are case sensitive, please copy and paste the temporary password. Once you are logged in, you will change your password under the accounts tab. 2. To sign in. . . . you will use your email address as your user name. This email must match the email we have on file. If your email is changed at any time, a new account will need to be set up. 3. CR and FRES families will now be able to see your child's contact information, teacher assignment, attendance, and REPORT CARDS. (As your child enters TCMS/BHS, you will see more information with your child's schedule, report cards, attendance, homework, and more. ) If you have any questions or trouble logging in, please contact the school main office for assistance.
