This appointment can be scheduled before the defense. All major elements must be available for review. u Hold the defense as early as possible in the semester of graduation u Make corrections or revisions required by your committee

Summary of Steps in Preparation and Final Submission of Electronic Documents (cont. ) u u u Secure final approval from your committee and major professor. Convert the document to PDF format and print on plain paper, on one side of the paper ONLY. Submit the final PDF version to the Graduate School editor for review AND insure that all other forms have been submitted Following submission of your final version, your ETD ID and password will be emailed to your LSU address after the editorial review. The editor will review the document and inform you of any further needed corrections

Summary of Steps in Preparation and Submission of Electronic Documents (cont. ) u Make all corrections, convert to PDF again and then submit the document electronically through the ETD site, using your password and ID. When it is approved, you will be notified via email. u When completing submission page on the ETD site, be sure all committee members and their email addresses are included. u Be sure to enter your committee names last name first, followed by a comma, then first name/initial.
