Our Daily Schedule

Classroom Rules: * Respect and listen to your teacher and classmates. * Treat others the way you want to be treated. * Follow directions the first time they are given. * Raise your hand wait to be called on. * Keep your hands and feet to yourself. * And most of all HAVE FUN!!!! Parents can easily see how their child behaved at school by looking at the color marked on the calendar in the take home folder.

Colors on the Calendar ▪ Pink- best day! Child receives 3 tickets to earn prizes ▪ Purple- great day! Child receives 2 tickets to earn prizes ▪ Blue- better day! Child receives 1 ticket to earn prizes ▪ Green- good day! We start every day on this color!!!! ▪ Yellow- had a warning, and was able to change behavior ▪ Orange- letter sent home, numerous warnings, but didn’t change behavior ▪ Red- letter sent home, child sent to Principle’s office for behavior

Homework * Reading- Every night your child will have a reading assignment sent home for you to read to them. * Sight Words- 5 new words are added weekly. Make sure your child practices writing and recognizing these words! *Math- Your child will have 10 basic addition and subtraction problems to do nightly. No homework on Fridays!!!

Volunteers Needed We have numerous ways for parents to be involved in our classroom! If you are interested in helping out in any way. Sign up at my desk and I will contact you. ▪ Library Time- help students pick out books and read to them. ▪ Center Time- to assist in children’s natural ability to learn. ▪ Classroom Parties- costume party, winter party and spring party
