Purpose of this Public Consultation Centre To introduce the Region of Waterloo and City of Cambridge Transportation Master Plan studies and collect public input about the City’s transportation system on: • Future goal and objectives; • Transportation needs and how to address needs; • New and emerging trends and their effects; and • How to get involved in the study. Moving Cambridge What is Moving Cambridge? • Moving Cambridge will be the City’s new Transportation Master Plan to support planned City growth to year 2041. • Moving Cambridge will define and prioritize a transportation system that supports all travel modes - walking, cycling, transit and autos, and reduces dependency on single occupant vehicle trips. • Moving Cambridge will create a vision, direction and goals to support efficient movement of people and goods within Cambridge.

Moving Cambridge Why does the City of Cambridge Need a Transportation Master Plan? • To establish a vision for the City’s transportation network over the next 25 years. • To identify constraints, needs and opportunities to improve the movement of people and goods. • To define and improve connections to the Region and provincial transportation network. • To develop and support sustainable transportation policies.

Moving Cambridge Goal: Transportation Goal & Objectives • Create and maintain a highly effective, sustainable and coordinated local infrastructure and transportation network. Objectives: 1. Move People • Find new ways to help people move using various modes of travel. 2. Improve Coordination • Better coordinate the planning, communication and delivery of transportation infrastructure. 3. Leadership and Management • Innovative leadership and management of City assets. 4. Accessibility of Infrastructure • Continue to improve the accessibility of all built infrastructure.
