“Glory” Acts 1: 3 -8 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. “ So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel? " 7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. " • What had Jesus spoke about for 40 days? The Kingdom. • What was the gift Jesus’ Father promised? The Kingdom. • What did they ask him about? The Kingdom. • What did Jesus tell them? One day it will be with the angels themselves!
Psalm 73: 1 -25 One day, when the glory comes It will be ours, it will be ours Oh, one day, when the war is won We will be sure, we will be here sure Oh, glory, glory Now the war is not over Victory isn't won And we'll fight on to the finish Then when it's all done We'll cry glory, oh glory
