PCE 2020 - 2021 CSIP Goals Student Performance Goal #1: Pate’s Creek Elementary will

PCE 2020 - 2021 CSIP Goals Student Performance Goal #1: Pate’s Creek Elementary will have 65% of students in grades K through 5 achieve mastery (80%) on a school created comprehensive assessment in Science by the Spring of 2021. Student Performance Goal #2: Pate’s Creek Elementary School will increase the percentage of students in grades 1 through 5 scoring average or above on the Spring Administration of MAP in the area of Mathematics from 56% to 61%. Student Performance Goal #3: By Spring 2021, the percentage of students in grades 1 through 5 scoring average or above on the MAP in the area of Reading will increase from 57% to 62%.

HCS Elementary and Infinite Campus It is very important that parents monitor their child’s progress, attendance, and receive announcements about HCS and PCE happenings. Signing up for and using Infinite Campus PArent Portal is a great way to keep abreast of all that is going on. Virtual Classroom Expectations In order to provide a positive and responsible classroom environment during

Virtual Classroom Expectations In order to provide a positive and responsible classroom environment during Virtual Learning, your child will be expected to adhere to the Grade Level Norms. They are as follows: ❏ Follow your schedule and be on time ❏ Mute your devices ❏ Dress in school appropriate attire ❏ No visitors during instructional time ❏ Work in a designated workspace with no distractions ❏ No chatting in the chat box ❏ Complete and submit work on time

Google Meet and Google Classroom ❏ Virtual classes will take place Monday through Thursday

Google Meet and Google Classroom ❏ Virtual classes will take place Monday through Thursday using the class Google Meets link. Student will have to be signed in to their Google Classroom accounts in order to attend these sessions. Google Classroom should be accessed through the launchpad. ❏ Since students will have opportunities to work in small groups and breakout rooms, their class schedules will be individualized. Students will receive their schedules via email and parents will also receive a copy. Additionally, with grouping being flexible as they depend on students specific needs, student groups will occasionally change. When this happens students and parents will be informed ahead of time and receive a new emailed copy of their schedule. ❏ During Google Meets sessions students must adhere to the grade level norms.

Google Meet and Google Classroom Cont. ❏ Classwork will be issued on a weekly basis, through a classroom contract. The classwork contract will consist of several assignments for the subjects of Reading, Language Arts, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science to include internet-based activities, worksheets, projects, etc. Classwork contracts will be posted on Google Classroom. ❏ Several assignments will require students to annotate directly on the document so that it can be turned in and graded. ❏ It is important that students adhere to all due dates. Parents can also see assignment due dates but the days to receive these notifications depends on the settings that parents choose during setup. Google Classroom Guardian Email Info *Please remind students that they should only work ahead on assignments that their teacher approves. ❏ All missing assignments must be turned in within 3 days after the initial due date.

Goals: Research spanning decades shows that setting students goals improves both motivation and achievement. Goal setting encourages a growth mindset. It also supports the development of skills students need to be prepared for their future careers. Rigor: The fine line between challenging and frustrating a student. It means that students are challenged to think, perform, and grow to a level not previously reached.

Student of the Month SOTM: We are very proud of our students and wish

Student of the Month SOTM: We are very proud of our students and wish to acknowledge those who go above average each month. Students will be presented with a character word for the month each month during the community meeting. Teachers will select one student per homeroom to be acknowledged for demonstrating that character word during the month. At the end of the month, students who are selected will attend a SOTM celebration.

School Meals The School Nutrition Department will continue to provide meals to all Henry

School Meals The School Nutrition Department will continue to provide meals to all Henry County Schools students during the remote learning model. There will be a total of ten meal sites, one per cluster. Pate’s Creek Elementary School’s meal site is Dutchtown High School. Parents will be able to pre-order meals in advance (using My. School. Bucks. com) and pick-up from Dutchtown High School on Wednesdays between 11: 00 a. m. – 1: 00 p. m. The cost of meals are: ● ● Grades K-5: Breakfast $1. 15, Lunch $2. 40, Reduced-Priced Meals: Breakfast $0. 30, Lunch $0. 40. Parents are encouraged to use My. School. Bucks. com to make payments to maintain a contactless transaction. *USDA has not announced or made available waivers to provide meals at no cost for School Year 2020 -2021.

School Attendance As we begin a new school year, we must keep our children

School Attendance As we begin a new school year, we must keep our children and their educational needs in the forefront of our minds. Attendance is critical for students and teachers. In an effort to provide students with solid instructional learning opportunities, it is very important for students and teachers to not only be present, but also on time for all learning opportunities. Attendance is Mandatory. (Monday - Friday) Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each school day. The Virtual School Bell rings at 8: 00 a. m. each school day. When a student logs on and joins a Google. Meet class, he or she should type their first and last name in the chat box and press enter. This will time stamp their time of arrival. Attendance will be reported in Infinite Campus daily. Student attendance will be taken daily in HR, homeroom. Attendance will also be taken daily in each core subject and in Specials.
