Guidelines 1. Don’t Abuse Your Tech 2. Work Hard 3. Be Kind Fill these in on your paper.
Don’t Abuse Your Tech What does this mean? 1. Don’t physically hurt it. 2. Don’t be on it when you are not supposed to.
Work hard What does this mean? 1. Be ready to learn. 2. We start when the bell rings and don’t stop until it rings again. 3. The outside ends at the door. In this classroom we are readers and writers.
Be Kind What does this mean? 1. Respect different opinions. 2. We are a community of learners. 3. Help others in need.

Severe clause Any student that uses profanity, fights, intentionally damages school property, or is disrespectful (as defined by the teacher), will be sent to the office immediately.
Procedures � A procedure is the way that we do things. � To place a call you have to choose the contact or dial the number. � These help our classroom run smoothly.
Procedure one: entering the room 1. Get your supplies. 2. Go to your seat. 3. Read the agenda posted on the board and begin your bell work.
C onversation: Can students talk to each other during this activity?
H elp: How do students get their teacher’s attention and their questions answered?
A ctivity: What is the task/objective? What is the end product?
M ovement: Can students move about during this activity?
P articipation: How do students show they are fully participating? What does work behavior/look sound like?

Procedure Two: Entering the room late 1. Enter quietly and join in on the lesson. 2. We don’t need to know your business. 3. I will talk with you individually at a good stopping point.
Procedure Three: Getting your attention 1. I will say CLAP THREE TIMES and you need to respond by clapping 3 x. 2. I will expect you to focus your eyes, ears, stop talking, stop working, and give me your attention.
Procedure four: if you need something 1. Raise your hand. 2. Ask a peer if I am working with other students. 3. Do not interrupt your peers or me during class discussions.
Procedure five: lunch 1. Walk to lunch. 2. Stay on one side of the hallway. 3. Don’t touch lockers and doors. 4. Use a whisper. 5. Act like people, not wild animals.
Procedure six: Turning in assignments 1. Turn in assignments on the due date. 2. Put your name & number on any paper documents.
Procedure seven: If you are absent 1. Read the agenda posted on Google Classroom. 2. Complete any assignments for that day. 3. Ask a peer first if you have any questions.
Procedure eight: Supplies 1. Bring your Chromebook, binder with folders and paper, pencils, and book with you every day. 2. Take all of your supplies with you when you go.
Procedure nine: finishing early 1. Work on assigned reading. 2. Complete your homework. 3. Do not work on other classwork.
Procedure Ten: moving around the room 1. Please do not touch items on my desk or in my cabinet without permission. 2. Do not get out of your seat to distract others.
Procedure Eleven: class dismissal 1. The bell doesn't dismiss you, the teacher does. 2. Do not pack your belongings before the bell rings.
Procedure Twelve: leaving the classroom 1. Be respectful to all adults and guests within the building. 2. Walk in an orderly fashion, take all of your supplies, and listen.
