Level 2 IT Teaching Team Debi Wood – Course Tutor Returned to education in

Level 2 IT Teaching Team Debi Wood – Course Tutor Returned to education in 1993 to update her skills, and found that she had an aptitude in using the computer, this started her learning journey at Grantham College and went on to complete her HND in Computer Science in 1998, In 2009 she completed her teaching qualification in FE. In early 2018 she taught at NCS in Stamford, before returning to Grantham College 2019. Her skills are in the use of application software and information systems. Roy Clarke A former Chemist that moved into electronics while doing research at Durham University, then into computing while working as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, he have now been lecturing for over 20 years. His specialist areas are Computer Architecture, Computer Hardware, Networking, Systems Analysis, Low-level and Procedural Programming, Control Systems and Computer Games Chris Lewis Graduated from University of Reading with BSc in Cybernetics with computer science. A software developer who has a real interest in artificial intelligence and creating software tools to use in the education environment. He has taught at Grantham College for just over 13 years – Chris teaches on the HNC/D Computing also.

Ninja – a website that is specifically purchased for our learners and helps with questions that might appear in the exam • Kahoot! – fun quizzes done to help learn the key terms – usually an activity set at the end of the lesson • Quizlet – another fun learning app that you can use to learn key terms • Online Exam – 1 Hour – booked usually around end of December 2020 or early January 2021 – I will need to know very early on if you have extra time allocated so I can get that organsied

T technology enables users, systems, and devices, to connect to a wide range of networks, thus expanding the connectivity between the physical and the digital. As more organizations and governments make digital transformation a priority, the adoption of Io. T technology increases. The below statistics show the continuous penetration of Io. T technology. • How many Io. T devices are installed worldwide: • In 2018—there were 7 billion Io. T devices in 2018 • In 2019—the number of active Io. T devices reached 26. 66 billion • Every second— 127 new Io. T devices are connected to the web • During 2020—experts estimate the installation of 31 billion Io. T devices • By 2021— 35 billion Io.
