Welcome ISÄ Parents! Early Years Programme (EYP) Parents Information Evening August 31 st, 2020
Annkristin Lönnberg Personally Professionally I live in the countryside, about 40 minutes from Älmhult. Together with my family, horses and a lot of chickens. I´ve been working in a Swedish preschool for many years. And in ISÄ I´ve been working since 2009. I enjoy to be outside and having different activities. This year I finally ended my studies at the university and got my degree of Bachelor of Arts in Preschool Education.
Mattias Appelquist Professionally Previous employment includes Student assistance/ Resource center. Personal assistance and Carer for the elderly which now leads me to my third year in EYP. Personally I am 24 years of age and currently having my residence in Hagabo, Älmhult.
Sanghamitra Mohapatra Professonally 3 rd It is my year at ISÄ. Previous experience as a social worker in a NGO in India. I did my teachers training course here in Sweden. Personally I have been in Sweden for 12 years with my family. I have two daughters whom I love spending time with!

I bring my dog and my partner if they promise to behave.
What are our roles in the EYP and Cherries? • Address students’ academic needs and their social and emotional well-being • Encourage students to develop independence and to take responsibility for their own learning • Support students’ effort to gain understanding of the world and to function effectively within it. • Help students to establish personal values as a foundation upon which international-mindedness will flourish
Success with the EYP ● In the EYP curriculum, teachers monitor, document, measure and provide feedback on student learning. ● Learning is viewed as a continuous journey, where teachers identify students’ needs and use ongoing assessment and feedback to plan the next stage of their learning. 6
Teachers use a wide range of assessment strategies to collect information on each of the elements represented in the curriculum: • • • the understanding of concepts the acquisition of knowledge the mastering of skills the development of the attributes of the learner profile the ability to take responsible action

Communication ●To communicate with teachers please email the class teacher, or message on Toddle. ●Toddle is the school communication platform ●School phone (only to notify absences/late)
Standards and expectations ● Indoor shoes ● Please be on time : ) ● Post absences through Toddle/ call the school ● Appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes as well as clean spare clothes
What can you do at home to help your child’s learning. ● Read to your child. ● Ask them what they are learning in school or what they are interested in. ● Read our Toddle announcements to be up to date on our current units.
