Navigation of Classroom: Canvas is the primary method of communication concerning work associated with class. Email will be the primary method of communication outside of Canvas. Google Drive will be a major tool for organization and completion of both group and individual work. Webex by Cisco will be our method of virtual communication while in a virtual setting and can be accessed through canvas or webpage. Website will house essential information for class as well as methods of maintaining communication.

Policies & Procedures: Virtual classroom Expectations: We have our cameras on most of the time. Chat is for school business and is recorded. All sessions are recorded. Though virtual MPS and State guidelines for students and teachers apply. Respect each other and our space.

Working Together: Problems will arise. We will develop better systems. The best way isn’t necessarily the old way. On this mountain we stand as one!

Community: It will take a diverse group of learners to make it happen. We need to work together, communicate and listen to one another. We are not just getting through something we are inventing a new version of school. Friends don’t lie.

Respect the Process: Through this process if it is going to be a real one, it must be understood that when trying something new for the first time it won’t be the best. Through iteration, communication and support we will become the better version of ourselves.

Norms for the Classroom: You are part of a community, your actions have the ability to influence others. How we do things are as important as what we do. To iterate you have to be okay with it not being done the first time you do it. Listen to understand other people’s perspective and reflect on your own. Operate from a place of respect and dignity, assuming the best of intentions. Embrace humility by being self reflective and taking every opportunity to learn and improve. Be innovative, question everything, be bold, be brave.
