Covid care We are following advice from the government on how lessons will be in September. This could be in college for practical's and taught virtually using Microsoft teams.

Assignments Any assignment given out will have the hand in deadline written at the top and also confirmed when handed out. A minimum of 2 weeks will be given for each assignment to be completed and a further 2 weeks for allowing of marking and verification. Late submissions will only be allowed a capped PASS unless extenuating circumstances
Extenuating circumstances These must be agreed by the Course leader or curriculum manager no less than three days prior to the deadline date. A signed form will be issued if agreed and this can be handed in with the submission. A print out version is available on the VLE/Teams which must be signed and handed in to the course leader to agree.
Delivery of the course 2 hours of Directed study 1 hour of ILP a week 1 hour of employability a week Lessons will be lectures and practical's depending on the unit taught, you will sit 2 exams this year, January and May 2021. We are using Microsoft Teams to deliver virtual lessons and storing files. Please download this free app on either your phone or laptop.
We have been lucky to take part in a T level trial for the last 2 years which has enabled students to take part in a 2 day a week placement. Industry placements The placements are sourced based on what you are interested in as a career after completion of the course. Placements usually start in October and you will be asked for details on areas you are interested in by our work experience coordinator. Due to Corona virus we are taking advice on whether placements will still commence this year and will be updating further.
Assignments must be handed in either before or on the deadline date to the relevant member of staff or course leader by hard copy no later than 5 pm. Electronic submissions are also excepted on the day no later than 5 pm if you are not in College. Assignment submission You must always attempt the PASS criteria however the merit and distinction tasks are optional. Criteria which has been attempted if failed can have one resubmission. Merits and distinction tasks if not attempted will not be allowed in a resubmission

Equipment needed PENS/PENCILS!! NOTEBOOK, HARDBACK ONES ARE BETTER FOR PRACTICAL NOTES. FOLDER TO HOLD RESOURCES/HANDOUTS HAVE ACCESS TO A LAPTOP/COMPUTER OR DOWNLOAD THE MICROSOFT TEAMS APP ON YOUR PHONE. WE WILL BE USING THIS PLATFORM FOR COMMUNICATION/LESSO NS AND WORK.
