Grading Policy: Summative (Tests and Projects) - 40% Formative (Quizzes, Exit Tickets) - 30% Daily Participation (Daily Work, Practice Problems, Small and Large Group Discussion, I-Ready) - 20% Homework - 10%
Homework Policy ● Students are expected to show work for all assignments. ○ Work/process is just as important as correct answers. ● Points will be taken off for every day an assignment is late.
Tutoring/Supplemental Materials -Math Jams!: We will have morning Math Jams beginning in October two mornings per week. We will discuss the day’s homework, and review any materials that students feel they need reinforcement on. I must receive a parent email for each session that your student wishes to attend. More info to come. -Tutoring: I will make myself available to assist students by appointment, and with consultation of student and parent. -Supplemental Materials: I-Ready program will be used to provide extra practice in specific areas. Students will receive lessons prescribed to them after completing a diagnostic test. These lessons will be part of their class and homework assignments.

Science Fair MYP 2 students are encouraged to participate in Science Fair! We begin meeting on Monday, September 24 th (alternating between Monday and Wednesday). Permission slips will be passed out to interested students. Tentative Science Fair Date: Week of December 10 th In honoring their hard work and diligence, students who complete the Science Fair requirements can expect a 8 -10% increase in their Science grade for the 2 nd quarter.
