Section C: Writing Features • Spend at least 5 minutes planning and checking your writing • Sentence variety – in length (short and long), and sentence starters • Use a one-word sentence, and a one-sentence paragraph. • Like this. • Use AFOREST features (alliteration, RQs, statistics etc. ) • their/they’re/there and your/you’re • Use all of the punctuation marks you can : ; ( ) … “”. , • CHECK YOUR CAPITAL LETTERS AND FULL STOPS!! • Opening and Ending Links/Bomb sentences • Try to use more ambitious vocabulary, even if you can’t spell it!
