Philippians: Epistle of Joy 腓立比書: 喜樂的書信 Happiness vs. Joy 快樂与喜樂
I. Joy is a hallmark of mature Christians. (v. 1) 喜樂是成熟基督徒的特徵 Not based on external circumstances. 不靠外在環境. Based on the state of life as a result of personal relationship with God. 乃是因与神的關係而產生的生命特質.
腓 Phil 3: 1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. 弟兄們,我還有話說,你們要靠主喜 樂‧我把這話再寫給你們,於我並不為 難,於你們卻是妥當‧
II. How to have enduring joy? 如何能有持久的喜樂? (v. 2 -11)
A. Resist Legalistic Attitude 棄絕律法主義 (v. 2 -3; 羅 Rom 14: 17; 徒 Acts 9: 1 -9) Legalism (律法主義者) (v. 2) – – – Dogs (犬類) Evil workers (作惡的) Mutilators (妄自行割的) True godliness (真正的割礼 / 敬虔) (v. 3) – – – Worship in the Spirit (灵裡敬拜) (3: 3 a) Glory in Christ Jesus (以基督誇口) (3: 3 b) Put no confidence in the flesh (不靠肉体) (3: 3 c)
腓 Phil 3: 2 -3 2 Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh. 2應當防備犬類,防備作惡的,防備妄 自行割的‧ 3因為真受割禮的,乃是我 們這以神的靈敬拜,在基督耶穌裡誇 口,不靠著肉體的‧
羅 Rom 14: 7 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 因為神的國,不在乎吃喝,只在乎公 義,和平,並聖靈中的喜樂‧
B. Build on enduring values. 建造在永恆的價值上 (v. 4 -8; 路 Luke 12: 15; 太 Matt 13: 44 -46; 16: 25 -26) Re-evaluation (重新估計) (v. 4 -6) Wise accounting (有智慧的算帳法) (v. 7 -8 a) Gaining by losing (藉失而得) (v. 8 b-9)
1. Re-evaluation of our values 重定我们的價值 (v. 4 -7) What I had and treasured before: All my worldly achievements and status (v. 4 -6) 我以前所有並看為宝貴的 What I have and treasure now: Knowing Christ Jesus (v. 7 -8 a) 我如今所有並看為宝貴的
Paul’s background & old value 保罗的背景与舊价值 腓 Phil 3: 4 b-6 4 If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless. 4若是別人想他可以靠肉體,我更可以靠著了‧ 5我 第八天受割禮,我是以色列族,便雅憫支派的人, 是希伯來人所生的希伯來人‧就律法說,我是法利 賽人‧ 6就熱心說,我是逼迫教會的‧就律法上的義 說,我是無可指摘的‧
路 Luke 12: 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. ” 於是對眾人說,你們要謹慎自守,免 去一切的貪心‧因為人的生命,不在乎 家道豐富‧

Wise Accounting 有智慧的算帳法 腓 Phil 3: 7 -8 7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ… 7只是我先前以為與我有益的,我現在因基督都當 作有損的‧ 8不但如此,我也將萬事當作有損的, 因我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶‧我為他已經丟棄 萬事,看作糞土,為要得著基督‧

3. Gaining by losing 藉失而得 (腓 Phil 3: 8) What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. 不但如此,我也將萬事當作有損的,因我 以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶‧我為他已經丟 棄萬事,看作糞土,為要得著基督‧
路 Luke 9: 24 -25 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? 24因為凡要救自己生命的,必喪掉生命‧凡 為我喪掉生命的,必救了生命‧ 25人若賺得 全世界,卻喪了自己,賠上自己,有什麼 益處呢‧
C. Focus on the main goals. 專注在主要的目标上 (3: 9 -11) Re-define our main goals (肯定主要目标) (v. 9 -11; 西 Gal 2: 20; 林後 2 Cor 5: 9) Re-prioritize our activities. (重排先後次序 ) Keep the main things. ( 把首要的事物放在首要)
腓 Phil 3: 10 -11 10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. (NIV) 10 使我認識基督,曉得他復活的大能, 並且曉得和他一同受苦,效法他的死‧ 11 或者我也得以從死裡復活‧
Paul’s #1 goal in life is: To know Christ better and better. 保罗生命中首要的目標是: 認識基督更多. (v. 10, 8) Personally (個人直接的) Intimately (親密的) Experientially (經驗性的) Continually / on-going (持續的) “Knowing” is different from “knowing about” “認識” 与 “知道” 有很大的區別. Knowing leads to partaking (認識導致有份)
Focus on the main goals. 專注在主要的目标上. (v. 9 -11) Knowing Christ (認識基督) (3: 8, 10 a) Righteousness in Christ (因信称義) (3: 9 b) Power of Christ (復活大能) (3: 10 a) Fellowship with Christ (親密関係) (3: 10 b) Identification with Christ (与主有份, ) (3: 10 b) Resurrection from the dead (從死裡復活) (3: 11) Glory with Christ (与主同得榮耀) (3: 11)
