The Circulation Desk is located to the left when you enter the media center. This is where you can return books, check out books, pay fines, ask questions, and sign up for after school lab work. Student ID’s must be present at all times in the media center.

Computers are available for student use before and after school. Most of the time

Computers are available for student use before and after school. Most of the time computers are used by classes during the day, but sometimes there are computers available, depending on the size of the class.

The media center is also a place for working on projects. We have an

The media center is also a place for working on projects. We have an Ellison machine for cutting letters and shapes and we have a large paper cutter; if you need other supplies such as poster board, index cards, markers, etc…those can be purchased at the school store. The media center is also a place to make copies but you must pay 15 cents per copy.

Although the other computers have access to Destiny from the web page, this particular computer is only set up to search the card catalogue for print materials. However, all materials can be accessed from the school web page by using the Destiny link.

LIBRARY CENTER POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Accessibility Hours: 7: 15 -5: 00 Monday-Thursday 7: 15 -3: 30 on Friday During Class: students must have an ID and a valid pass from teacher; pass is not necessary before or after class time. Behavior: Students must have a specific assignment to work on and will be sent back to class if they do not. Students who are talking, playing, and not on task will be removed from the media center ID’s: materials will not be checked out to students without a school issued ID nor will passwords be reset. Checking out materials Students checking out more than 4 books from the media center have special permission. General collection can be checked out for 2 weeks with renewal privileges. Reference materials can be checked out over night. 5 cent charge each day for over due materials & 25 cent for reference materials. A replacement charge will be issued for lost or damaged books; students cannot check out anything else until fine is paid. Students with excessive fines will be placed on a restricted patron list until all fines are paid.
