Project Grades Z Project grades will be based upon the amount of time spent on the project. Some will be 100 pts. , some will be 200 -300 pts. Z Project grades are based upon my critique of your work. I will be grading your work on skill, technique, use of time, effort, and creativity involved.
Creativity Z Creativity is a mental and social process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or concepts. Creativity is fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight. An alternative conception of creativeness is that it is simply the act of making something new. Z Another adequate definition of creativity is that it is an "assumptions-breaking process. " Creative ideas are often generated when one discards preconceived assumptions and attempts a new approach or method that might seem to others unthinkable.
Good Use of Time ZGet your projects out when you come in & start working on them. ZKeep working diligently throughout the period. ZTry to see how much you can get done each day. ZSet goals for yourself.
Technique ZA technique is a procedure used to accomplish a specific activity or task. For example…. A watercolor artist will use various watercolor techniques to achieve the desired result in a successful painting. You will also be using techniques you learn.
Effort/Use of Time Z Franklin D. Roosevelt: Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. Z The Definition…. 1 : conscious exertion of power : hard work <a job requiring time and effort>2 : a serious attempt : try <making an effort to reduce costs>3 : something produced by exertion or trying <the novel was her most ambitious effort>4 : effective force as distinguished from the possible resistance called into action by such a force 5 : the total work done to achieve a particular end <the war effort>
Clean up time is important Z Put any and all paint, drawing, or other supplies away that you use in the period. EVERYTHING must be put away (in it’s proper place). Z Wipe up after yourself. Clean up the sinks. Z If you leave a mess behind, you will get a detention.
The End ZI hope you have a great year!!! ZTrue art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist. ZThe monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.
