Welcom e! LEADING OUR COMMUNITY INTO A DEEP CONNECTION IN CHRIST
OPENING SONG RESURRECTING
The head that once was crowned with thorns, Is crowned with glory now The Savior knelt to wash our feet. Now at His feet we bow
The One who wore our sin and shame, Now robed in majesty The radiance of perfect love, Now shines for all to see
Your name, Your name is victory! All praise will rise to Christ our King
Your name, Your name is victory! All praise will rise to Christ our King
The fear that held us now gives way To Him who is our peace His final breath upon the cross Is now alive in me
Your name, Your name is victory! All praise will rise to Christ our King
Your name, Your name is victory! All praise will rise to Christ our King
By Your Spirit I will rise from the ashes of defeat The resurrected King is resurrecting me In Your name I come alive to declare Your victory The resurrected King is resurrecting me
The tomb where soldiers watched in vain, Was borrowed for three days His body there would not remain. Our God has robbed the grave

INVOCATION
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
P: Come into the presence of God. Through Jesus Christ, He makes us His children, cleansing us of all sin and making us holy and righteous. So, we enter His courts with confidence that if we confess our sins, He will forgive us as He promised.
a time of silence to reflect and personally confess our sins
C: Heavenly Father, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart and have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ and His suffering and death on the cross, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your
P: The Lord our God is merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. Therefore I announce unto you the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His stead and by the command of my Lord Jesus Christ, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen. Jesus, You are the door by which we enter heaven. Guide us on Your narrow path of faith to be with You for all eternity. Keep us from straying onto other paths which lead to destruction. You have the words of eternal life.
SONG OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING IN CHRIST ALONE
In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground. Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All. Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh, Fullness of God in helpless babe This gift of love and righteousness, Scorned by the ones He came to save ‘Til on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid, Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day, Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory, Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine, Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand ‘til He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand ‘til He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
‘til He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
OLD TESTAMENT READING - ISAIAH 66: 18 -23 “And I, because of what they have planned and done, am about to come and gather the people of all nations and languages, and they will come and see my glory.
“I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations.
And they will bring all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels, ” says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels. And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites, ” says the Lord.
“As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me, ” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me, ” says the Lord.
EPISTLE READING - HEBREWS 12: 4 -12 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son. ”
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline— then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.

SERMON HYMN WELL DONE
What will it be like when my pain is gone And all the worries of this world just fade away? What will it be like when You call my name And that moment when I see You face to face?

A NARROW DOOR
OFFERING “They shall not appear before the LORD emptyhanded. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that He has given you. ” Deuteronomy 16: 16 b, 17
PRAYERS If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
APOSTLES’ CREED AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
APOSTLES’ CREED I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
THE LORDS’ PRAYER Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.

DISTRIBUTION
When you commune you are confessing the Christian faith of the Holy Scriptures and faith in Jesus that confesses: • I believe I am a sinner and need God’s grace for the forgiveness of my sin. • I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. • I believe that in Holy Communion I receive the Real Presence, that is the physical body and blood of Jesus Christ, in with and under the bread and wine, which is given and shed for my forgiveness. • I resolve to dedicate my life to the service of my Lord in my personal life as well as the church. If you have any questions or are unsure if you agree with the above statements, please speak with Pastor Kurt before participating in Communion. We provide non-alcoholic grape juice in the center of the communion tray.
PRAYERS I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 17: 6
BENEDICTION
SENDING SONG WHAT IS THE WORLD TO ME
What is the world to me With all its vaunted pleasure When You, and You alone, Lord Jesus, are my Treasure! You only, dearest Lord, My soul's Delight shall be; You are my Peace, my Rest, What is the world to me!
The world seeks to be praised And honored by the mighty, Yet never once reflects That they are frail and flighty. But what I truly prize Above all things is He, My Jesus, He alone, What is the world to me!
The world seeks after wealth And all that Mammon offers, Yet never is content Though gold should fill it coffers. I have a higher good, Content with it I'll be: My Jesus is my Wealth, What is the world to me!
What is the world to me! My Jesus is my Treasure, My Life, my Health, my Wealth, My Friend, my My Love, my Pleasure, Joy, my Crown, my All, My Bliss eternally. Once more, then, I declare: What is the world to me!
