What’s going on, cont. • TRAVEL: As of November 2012, all domestic and foreign conference attendance requests must be submitted to the Travel Office no later than 70 days prior to the conference start date (important to reiterate that this is a MINIMUM). For example, all conference attendance requests to attend conferences in January/February 2013 will need to be in the Travel office as early as November 2012. Again, formal direction will be coming shortly, but we want travelers to be prepared for this change and gather the necessary information to be able to attend conferences. • What defines a ‘conference’ vs. ‘a workshop’ vs. ‘a meeting’… • Health Plans: Enrollment for 2013 benefits - Oct. 22 to Nov. 6 All employees should have received their 2013 benefits information packets via interoffice mail. This is an active enrollment, which means that even if you intend to continue with the same plans and coverage that you have this year, you must re-enroll. If you do not re-enroll, your coverage will be suspended on Dec. 31, 2012. Periodic active enrollments are necessary to ensure that beneficiaries and dependents are up-to-date. 19 October 2012 JCT -4 -

When this begins you will be notified about this. At that time when building(s), area(s) or room(s) you presently have keys for is re-keyed, you will be asked to turn in keys you no longer need any new key(s) you will need, will be issued. Traffic violations – – Detours due to construction now gone • Note – ‘temporary changes in front of TD’ will persist for quite a while… – Revision of traffic citation penalties – they are now more in line with ‘real world’ (State of Illinois) • Wilson Hall power outages scheduled for Sunday … 19 October 2012 JCT -5 -
