Lesson 1 What are these? These are examples of leaflets, they try to persuade you to go to the places in the pictures!
Lesson 1 Do you think leaflets are fiction or non-fiction? They are an example of a non-fiction piece of text. They do not tell us a story, they give us information.
Lesson 1 Do you have any leaflets in your house? A leaflet for a restaurant, a resort, a soft play? Talk with your adult, what does the word persuade mean? It means convince someone to do something, or in this case go somewhere…

Challenge/ extension: Have a go at persuading someone in your house to do something… For example: “Mum, please may I have a biscuit? They are so delicious and scrummy and I would really love to eat one!”
