Week 5 Option 1 (Non GCSE art students) Photography task –respond to your research last week • • • Spend 5 minutes producing a mind-map of photography ideas for “a quiet new world” from last week Complete a photoshoot of 15 – 25 photos, inspired by theme “a quiet new world”. You will be assessed on: lighting, composition, angles, framing and use of subject and creative thinking. Choose your best 6 to submit. You can edit these if you wish. Present these neatly on Powerpoint or Word document and email the relevant teacher – see below Include a conclusion- why you have chosen these, what went well and where you could improve. Week 5 Option 2 (GCSE art students) Create a final piece – that concludes this project Theme that clearly demonstrates lock down Carefully draw and shaded Use of different paper for background § Look back through the weekly tasks, and the work that you have created and choose one (or more for extra challenge) media/technique and a theme (that represents lockdown to you) to include in your final piece. § Create a final piece that is at least A 4 in size Examples of media/techniques/themes used § Theme – lock down in the home. Technique – photography (Task 1) § Observational drawing to represent lockdown (Task 2) § Edward Hopper. Technique – painting (Task 3) § Theme: a quiet new world. You researched new photography techniques (Task 4) Now to creating your final piece…. Choose a theme of lock down that interests you the most. Plan out and sketch 4 possible final piece compositions. Choose your favourite and label the techniques/ materials/subject chosen. Create a final piece that: ü Fills a page ü Uses 1 (or more) of the techniques in this project. This could be photography. ü If it is a photography outcome, create a photoshoot and present 6 of your best. Plan it well and think about lighting and composition. Edit if you wish. ü If drawn, demonstrate control and skill in your shading and proportions ü Annotate final piece to evaluate your outcome. ü Make sure it is presented nicely! This is a final piece!
