Designated captains will share answers with the class. B. ) Discussion on Chapters 6 and 7: What does Lord Henry say are the drawbacks of marriage? What does Dorian love about Sibyl and why? What does Lord Henry say are the differences between men and women’s perceptions and expectations of marriage? How does Dorian fall out of love with Sibyl? What does Sibyl explain as the reason she failed in her performance? How has the portrait of Dorian changed and why? At the end of chapter 7, how does Dorian commit to resist temptation? C. ) Work Period: Begin reading chapters 8 and 9 (pp. 97 -120). Focus on the influence of morality (the standards of right and wrong). Compose two post-its in which you take notes on the moral behaviors of the characters.
