COVID-19 Information

Teaching and Learning Plan C Synchronous, Asynchronous, Independent Inquiry Just like daily school attendance is very important, your child attending daily synchronous sessions is just as important. We do understand that at time you may not be available due to doctor appointments or other valid reasons so we are going to record the sessions and post them each day to canvas. If you do not want your child to participate in a recorded lesson you will need to complete an opt out form on our school's web page by August 20 th. Attending Live each day is always the preferred options as students will have the opportunity to engage face to face with their teacher and their classmates.

Expectations 1. First and foremost, students need to CHECK IN with the daily attendance Monday - Friday on the homeroom daily Canvas page. 2. Students will participate in live lessons Monday - Thursday (Synchronous) from 8: 30 - 10: 15 am. 3. They will then participate in small group sessions on a specific student schedule Monday -Thursday during the 10: 15 -12: 00 pm block (Synchronous). 4. Student will then be held accountable for independent Canvas tasks from 12: 45 -2: 10 pm. (Asynchronous). 5. On Fridays, after students CHECK IN they are expected to complete all work for the week (tasks are GRADED), and then can do independent inquiry. 6. It is expected that students will complete 60 minutes (i. Ready-Math) and 60 minutes (i. Station- Reading) each week. 7. Last, but not least, COMMUNICATION is key to our success!
