Introduction • Garbage has become a serious problem in the world today. According to a report published in Nature journal, the problem of garbage or solid waste is assuming terrible proportions today. By the end of this century (2100, ), garbage will be collected at the rate of 11 million tonnes per day globally, more than three times today’s rate. • The garbage problem is equally serious in cities such as Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu in Kenya. • Locally in Kijauri town, the challenge of garbage disposal is slowly but surely becoming an issue of concern. https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=j. Task Ø The class will be divided into two teams namely metal and team plastic. Each team will have 4 groups of 4 students each.
