Calibration Information v Both new and returning raters must complete calibration in a monitored session that has been established by the campus or district. v Raters will be given a passcode by the session proctor in order to access calibration. v Most raters will need one to two hours to complete a calibration set. v Raters must finish a calibration set once it is started. Sufficient Calibration v For K– 1, each set contains ten students to be rated. Raters must rate at least 70 percent of the students correctly within a set to demonstrate sufficient calibration. v For 2– 12 grade clusters, each set contains ten writing collections to be rated. Raters must rate at least 70 percent of the collections correctly within a set to demonstrate sufficient calibration. v For special administrations of listening and speaking in the 2 -12 grade clusters, each set contains six students to rate, three of each domain. TELPAS Session Name v TELPAS Session Name is an optional field. If it is populated, this field will be used to create and place student test assignments into sessions. v The TELPAS Session name field has a limit of 20 characters, so the system test code may or may not completely show up, depending on how long the test session name is in the TELPAS Session name field. Valid values: A-Z; a-z; 0 -9; hyphen; apostrophe; period; embedded spaces; colon. v If the field is left blank, the student test will not be put into a session. v If the field is populated at the time of the import but it is determined that a session should not be auto created, the “Don’t Auto Create Test Sessions” must be selected when performing the student registration import and the session field will be ignored. Test Sessions – File Upload v If the TELPAS Session Name field is populated, it will be used to create and place student test assignments into sessions. The test session name will be appended with an internal test code. This is an internal test code only and districts should not rely on this internal test code for identifying their test sessions. v Test sessions created using TELPAS Code “A, ” will always be appended with test code “BA. ” v If the district wants each subject to have a unique test session name, they will need to list the student twice (once with TELPAS Code “O” and once with TELPAS Code “H”). Student Test Statuses v Ready § The student has not yet started the test: If a student was assigned a test, but never started the test, they would have a status of Ready. A test session cannot be stopped until students in Ready status have either been removed or marked complete so that all students in the session have a status of Complete or Marked Complete. v Active § The student has logged in and started the test. If the student exits the test and the status is Active, the student cannot resume testing unless the status is changed to Resumed Upload. v Exited § The student has exited Test. TELPAS – Testing Irregularities If there is a testing irregularity that requires the online test to be marked as Do Not Report – the District Testing Coordinator will be able to do that directly in the Assessment Management System. Do Not Report is available in the Manage Student Tests task. For tests that need to be unsubmitted, the district must contact Pearson can unsubmit tests as long as the tests have been exited for no longer than 2 hours. 2018 -2019 Top Error Codes v 8026 – Unable to connect to the proctor caching computer. Usually caused by incorrect Test. Nav configuration settings. Can occur if the Proctor. Cache server is overloaded or unavailable. v 1009 – The connection with the testing server was interrupted prior to the student finishing the test. The student’s responses were saved in the designated response file location, but not all test content downloaded from the testing server. Test. Nav cannot download the entire test. The likely root cause of this issue is the content filter or network firewall dropping traffic and causing arbitrary timeouts within Test. Nav, due to a misconfiguration of security settings. v v v 1005 – The student’s status is set to Resumed-Upload, but no file was found in the designated response file location. Often, the student has been resumed previously and has invalidated the original SRF file. In this case the SRF would need to be sent to Pearson for revalidation. 9058 – The username or password you entered is incorrect. Incorrect log in information is being used, the session has not been started. 3130 – There was an error detected with your microphone. Please restart the application. This error occurs when Test. Nav determines that the microphone is unplugged or no longer functioning during the testing window. It will also occur if a microphone is disabled at any point during the test, even if it is plugged back in before recording a response.
