WEB BASED COMMUNICATION CHANNELS EXPLANATION Web Based Communication is a list of ways to communicate over the internet. Web Based Communications can be done in a variety of methods. Different methods are appropriate for different audiences. For example, vlogs are not very useful or appropriate in a professional environment. However, web based communication is useful for many situations, for people and for businesses alike.
BLOGS Blogs are websites where the content is presented in the form of individual ‘posts’ or entries made mainly by the blog owner or a member of that blogs community. Most blogs are interactive, allowing other users to comment on a blog’s posts, similar to social networking sites such as Facebook.
VLOGS The name Video logs or video blog is sometimes shortened down to Vlogs are popular and widely used among the You. Tube audience. The Video Logs are videos of the person talking about their personal circumstances, personal emotions and life experiences.
PODCASTS On a podcast people would talk about different things from music to games to even movies or life stories to entice their viewers to subscribe and watch more of their content also it can be shown in just audio or also video. The name was created from “broadcast” and “Pod” being added together due to IPod being a success Podcasts became more popular on a global scale. An example of a Podcast would be Rooster Teeth Video Podcast (https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=q. CMv 9 I 7 MEts) in which they would talk about new things that is happening and most of all funny stories that they have.
WEB PAGES Web Pages are web documents that are hosted on a server to allow users to access the website. Websites hold multiple web pages, with the URL usually being in the form of www. something. com/123. There also Static and Dynamic web pages. Static web pages simply show the web document as it is. Dynamic web pages are driven by server side software. Dynamic web pages have user interaction as well as multimedia such as videos, flash games, etc.
VIDEO CONFERENCING Video Conferencing is when for example a company like Norbrook would live conference with their other employees using webcams and microphones so that they can talk to them maybe if they are on a business trip. A program that could be used for a video conference would be a program like Skype which allows one person or many people to talk and also video chat Thanks to this technology companies and their employees will always be able to keep in contact whenever it is needed
