What is Web 2. 0? �Basically the 2 nd generation of the World Wide Web �Allows for more collaboration and sharing of information rather than just static web pages �Often called the “Read/Write” web �Examples include blogs and wikis, plus social networking and video/photo sharing sites and more
Why Use Web 2. 0? �Great way to get students engaged and motivated in practicing writing skills �Great tools to create ongoing conversations among students �Creates “always on” learning communities that extend beyond the classroom
