The previous flooring in your classroom was easily scratched or marked in some way; it also wasn’t very easy on feet or the chairs in the room. The chairs and the floor created a lot of friction therefore the chairs were very loud when they moved. The flooring we have chosen for the classroom is very cushioned and silent. The computers we have in our room are becoming outdated and slow so we thought it would be nice to start using the i. Mac in our classroom instead. We will switch our mice to the wireless Magic Mouse; they will give you free range of movement and have one smooth, multi-touch surface which makes them very easy to use. We will switch our keyboards to the Apple Wireless Keyboard from Apple; It adds a more modern feel to the room and the keyboard has soft keys so its easier on your hands. SMART Boards are becoming very popular in schools lately so this would be a nice thing to have in our business classroom. It would be great for interactive lessons, demonstrations, etc. A new printer is also something we would purchase. The curtains we have right now are definitely not a fashion statement so we thought shutters would be a good idea. You can let a little light in, or a lot. To freshen up the room, we’ve decided to paint the walls a calming, pale blue. It is a very relaxing colour and easy on the eyes, so it will be a nice change for the classroom. The type of paint we’ve decided to use is an interior, Paint & Primer In One paint. It will make for a very easy, quick paint job since it is a Paint & Primer In One. It is also made for inside walls so it is the proper type of paint to use in the classroom. 4 x 887 m. For the classroom, we have chosen to light it with pot lights. The pot lights of our choice are recessed 5 inch, chrome pot lights. They have a chrome reflector with a white finish. Since it is a chrome reflector, all the light projected from the pot light will also bounce off of the reflector, creating even more light. They have a 5 inch diameter so they are a fairly small size, yet they still project a great amount of light. They have a very minimalist, sleek, and modern look and this is quite appealing to the eye. Air temperature affects us. People need a comfortable environment to work in if they wish to be productive. These air conditioning products will be ideal for the classroom. The air conditioner can be used during the warm times of the year to keep the room cool. It is controlled by a remote control so the air conditioner can be adjusted from anywhere in the room; this is a very convenient luxury for a classroom. The heater that we have selected for the classroom is portable and easy to move. It has three heat settings and an adjustable thermostat, so it will be very convenient for keeping the classroom warm and comfortable in the cooler months. For the computer tables, we have chosen these funky red, highgloss surface tables. Since they aren’t wooden tables, they are much harder to vandalize; this is very advantageous. They will help to light the room because they reflect light. They are long and sleek, so they are suitable for a fun classroom. We think that 16 of these tables will fit the classroom nicely because there will be about 2 computers per table, and there are 32 computers. The desk that we have chosen for Mrs. Folino provides storage in the drawers and plenty of legroom underneath the desk. It has a long, smooth surface for the top of the desk. Only one desk is needed because there is only one teacher in the class.
