We are approaching the new year very quickly! We have thought of some things we could use in the classroom that we are in need of or running low on. Below is each teacher’s wish list. If you would be interested in donating something to the classroom, please let your teacher know! We appreciate all donations. Mrs. Beckerle -pencils -black permanent markers Mrs. Weber -glue sticks -pencils Winter Break December 23 rd – January 3 rd Ms. Bryan -loose leaf lined paper -Kleenex Isaac Pyke—Mrs. Weber’s Class 12/22 -Class Christmas Parties @2: 20 -3: 00 1/8 - Variety Show try outs 1/11 -29 th - 2 nd round of Aimsweb testing 2/5 -Variety Show Isaac Pyke has grown so much this year. He is turning into a true leader. Choosing to do the right thing and getting his peers to follow. Isaac has a big heart and really cares about his classmates. He is always offering to help them when they are down. He has such a great attitude and always wants to do his best. I am so proud of him! Emily Mc. Neely—Mrs. Beckerle’s Class Emily is a very sweet, kind hearted person. She tries very hard every day. Jackson Hallman—Ms. Bryan’s Class He is very kind to all of his classmates. He also works hard on all of his school work. It is a joy to have Jackson in class.

Congrats to Alexandra Garland Haley Scheu on winning the PTA contest for their Inspire papers. They will be submitted in a statewide contest. Shane Staples is the citizen of the month! Congrats, Shane! We are very proud of you! ELA—We are finishing up our last unit of the year that focuses on inferring theme, describing story elements, and analyzing events that occur in a story. The focus is on folktales and legends. MATH—We are finishing up our last math unit that focuses on multiplying and dividing fractions embedded in word problems. We will also review comparing fractions by using number lines. SOCIAL STUDIES—We are finishing up our unit on the 13 colonies. Students will explore some of the first colonies and their religions, settlements, and characteristics. Penny Wars will the first week of February! We are collecting milk jugs for this! We will continue to study the bones, muscles, and joints.
