WAGOLL Why the same pattern? Ben hopped in to the car. Happily, , he gazed out of the window, smiling at the raindrops which glistened in the sunlight. Zayne clambered in to the car. Worriedly, he looked out of the window, staring at the grey clouds which hung in the sky. But both wondered the same thing. Why the same pattern? On the way to school, Ben skipped along the pavement. His eyes gleamed. A grin shone from cheek to cheek. Zayne ambled along the pavement. His heart thumped in his chest. He constantly checked over his shoulder. His palms were sweating. But why the same pattern? Running into class, Ben's bounced into his seat and his friends all giggled and laughed. Zayne tiptoed into class, he slumped into his seat and his friends all stared in silence. But why the same pattern? At the end of the day, Ben and Zayne walked out to their parents. Ben's parents gave him a big smile and squeezed him tight when he got close, but Zayne's parents turned around before he even reached them. In the car both parents began to tell the same story, the story of how they had marched, chanted and waved their placards. When Ben and Zayne asked why they had been protesting, they both gave the same response. "We have been trying to find out 'why the same pattern? " It's the same question people have been asking for years, but this time we are here to tell our story, share our opinions and make a difference.
