Brie Crawford is a health and benefits consultant at Mercer and adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University’s Master of Human Resource Management program. Brie spent the first act of her career working in finance and strategic planning and now helps clients bridge the gap between employee benefits, human resources and finance. She holds her MBA from University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and earned her CEBS designation from Wharton. Brie joined the WATRA board in 2018. George Lane is a principal and client manager in the Washington, DC office of Mercer. Throughout his 30 -year career, George has been a frequent speaker on benefits and human resource issues and has participated in seminars and conferences for Employee Benefit News, SHRM, CEBS, the Washington Area Total Rewards Association (WATRA), the HR Consortium, and the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area (HRA-NCA). Ron Cornwell is a principal of the firm and the practice leader of the Health and Welfare employee benefits practice of Milliman’s Omaha office. Ron has over 24 years of experience in group benefits working both as a consulting actuary at large international consulting firms as well as a product development actuary at a national health insurance company. He has worked on a broad range of products including medical, dental, prescription drug, vision, life, STD, LTD, PTO, Stop-loss reinsurance and CDHPs. His experience includes numerous Fortune 500 and publicly traded clients. He has experience as the lead actuary and project manager for HMO rate renewals, union negotiations, mergers and acquisitions and cafeteria plan design and implementation. Jody Buyalos is the Washington DC Area Employee Benefits Practice Leader for HUB International, the World’s Largest Privately Owned Insurance Broker. Jody has 25 years of Global Benefits Consulting experience and is licensed in all 50 States. Jody earned his Certified Group Benefits Associate from Wharton. Jody teaches courses on Gov.
