Before the match • • • The home team needs to confirm the match 6 days in advance with the opposition. 11 v 11 home teams also need to confirm the match with the referee 6 days in advance and share their Risk Assessment with the opposition. Away teams need to abide by the Risk Assessment for each away pitch that they visit. Centre based teams need to abide by the league Risk Assessment for the centre. Each team should provide an Assistant Referee & must have a linesman flag for use by their Assistant Referee. We are aware of some pitches being unavailable. Try reversing the fixture first, if this isn’t possible, send a postponement form to Lynn Redfern. Matches postponed for this reason only will be refixtured.
Match Day • • • Don’t arrive too early, no earlier than 30 minutes before kick off and be ready to play on time. • • • No shouting. If at a Centre you must register & pay the match fee before kick off. Have a copy of your WGS squad list available for Centre Managers and opposition coaches to check, this can be downloaded to your phone or tablet or printed. Home team should clean the ball before kick off. Spectators should not touch the ball if it goes out of play. Make sure everyone is dressed for the weather. Please take all litter off the pitch areas & dispose of in bins or take home.
Adverse Weather • • • Decisions will be made by Centre Managers ASAP. Only Centres called OFF will be announced on Facebook – please refrain from calling to ask. Surrounding areas, Roads or Cold Weather may be the reason to call off a Centre. We will always have a variety of opinions – our view is based on player safety. Try not to moan on Facebook – it doesn’t help
After the match • Match results should be recorded on Full Time or via the Match. Day App by both teams after the match but before 6 pm on the day of the match. See next slide. • U 13 s upwards for this Sunday text the result to your age group secretary. • Centres will collect results from referees this Sunday.
Recording Results The following information needs to be entered: • HALF TIME SCORE • FULL-TIME SCORE • REFEREE MARKS (3 step criteria- overall decision marking out of 40 major decision Marking out of 30 and overall control out of 30) Ali Smith –if present • RESPECT MARKS • PITCH MARKS • PLAYER STATS (who started, who was sub, who scored, who was captain, did any player get sin binned or yellow or red carded) • FAILURE TO GET THIS INFORMATION IN ON TIME AND CORRECT CAN RESULT IN A CLUB BEING FINED. • PLEASE NOTE BOTH SIDES ENTER THESE DETAILS ON THE SYSTEM- the TEAM ADMINISTRATOR is the person responsible for entering this data once set up by the club an email is generated and sent to the nominated person from this email a link is sent to enable them to set up a USERNAME and PASSWORD to gain access to full time
Rules - Sent out each month and on the League Website • • • Sin Binning is in operation for Player Dissent only. (8 minutes off the pitch) • Work WITH the Centre Manager and Referee and NOT against them – we all want the same thing but are coming from different viewpoints with different agendas – this should not affect the players. • • • Only players should be on the pitch unless we have a real emergency situation. • Remember, many referees are often under 18 and should be respected and treated as such. The Referee may ask you to remove a player if appropriate. We will NOT operate the “Power Play” rule – (adding players), we will try to grade games to be appropriate to all. Winning coaches can also help by trying new players and formations etc. Coaches should always ask the ref before they come onto the pitch. Encourage your supporters to be fair and balanced – it is not a professional game. Supporters should only make Positive comments? No need for supporters to say “Ref” at all! Coaches should set a good example at all times to all people. Coaches are responsible for supporter behaviour – not always easy, but if a coach is positive it normally works well.
Whole Game System • If not able to register players still by Saturday night, send a list of players not on WGS to Age Group Secretary via email giving all the details you would put on WGS to register them. • If you don’t do this, they won’t be insured to play.

and Finally…. . • The league will assume by taking part in our activity that where a child is aged 15 years or younger, then parents/carers must give informed written consent via a consent form or e-mail trail, before their child can take part in football activity. Clubs need to decide how they retain a record of those parents who have given consent (e. g. retain email, log consent form). NB: While the FA supports informed written self-consent from those aged 16 and 17 years of age – in these unusual times clubs may wish to seek parent/carer consent for these two age groups as well. Parents should be told to ensure that their child has their own water bottle, hand sanitiser, and any necessary medication (e. g. inhaler). All items belonging to their child should be labelled with their name and should not be used by anyone else
