Paint: Is a mixture of pigment and liquid that thinly coats and covers a surface Fastest and least expensive way to cover a wall surface and change the look of a room.

Wallpaper: Decorative paper or vinyl applied to wall with glue or paste Available in a limitless assortment of patterns and colors Offers variety; covers most flaws in walls but cannot be easily changed Vinyl wallpaper is washable and durable making it suitable for kitchens and bathrooms Can change the apparent dimensions of a room, making it seem smaller or larger

Calculations for paint: One gallon of paint will cover 350 square feet Calculations will be based on 8 foot ceilings Begin by measuring the length and width of the room (L + W + W) x ceiling height / 350 = gallons of paint Example: 8 x 10 Room (8 + 10) x 8 / 350 =. 82 or 1 gallon (always round up)
Calculations for wallpaper: One roll of wallpaper will cover 36 square feet Calculations will be based on 8 foot ceilings Begin by measuring the length and width of the room (L + W + W) x ceiling height / 36 sq. ft. = rolls of wallpaper Example: 8 x 10 Room (8 + 10) x 8 / 36 = 8 rolls (always round up)
