vs Present Perfect American English British English • Употребляется the Simple Past ИЛИ the Present Perfect • The Present Perfect употребляется с just, already и yet. ˽ I’m not hungry. I just had lunch. or I’ve just had lunch. ˽ I’m not hungry. I’ve just had lunch. ˽ A: What time is Ann leaving? B: She already left. or She has already left. ˽ Did you finish your work yet? or Have you finished your work yet? ˽ A: What time is Ann leaving? B: She has already left. ˽ Have you finished your work yet?

Различия во временных формах некоторых глаголов American English a) Эти глаголы обычно правильные (spelled; burned; learned) b) Past Participle (3 -я форма глагола) глагола get – gotten ˽ Your English has gotten much better. British English a) Некоторые глаголы могут быть правильными (regular) или неправильными (irregular). Например, spell (spelled/spelt; burned/burnt; learned/learnt) b) Past Participle (3 -я форма глагола) глагола get – got ˽ Your English has got much better. (= has become much better)
f) Needn’t не употребляется, только don’t need to. ˽ We don’t need to hurry. g) Американцы обычно говорят You have? She isn’t? etc. ˽ A: Liz isn’t feeling well. B: She isn’t? What’s wrong with her? ) Для выражения отсутствия необходимости употребляют needn’t или don’t need to. ˽ We needn’t hurry. or We don’t need to hurry. f g) В вопросах-переспросах (eco-questions) британцы обычно говорят Have you? Isn’t she? etc. ˽ A: Liz isn’t feeling well. B: Isn’t she? What’s wrong with her?
