VOTING IN NC: WHERE TO START v In order to vote in the state of NC you must be: v. A US Citizen vliving in the county of his/her registration, and have lived there for at least 30 days before election day v. Must be at least 18 years old. Citizens under the age of 18 may register to vote up to 2 years before the next election if they will be 18 before the next election day v. Must not be serving a sentence for a felony conviction (including probation or parole). If a prospective voter has previously been convicted of a felony, his/her citizenship rights must be restored. v. Must rescind any previous registration in any other county or state.
