VOPlot - Introduction Visualization toolkit developed by Persistent Systems and IUCAA in collaboration with CDS, Strasbourg. Motivation – Allow web-based visualization of astronomy data (quick look and interactive). Available as web-based version as well as a standalone desktop application. Web-based version is successfully integrated with Vizier Catalogue Service. 10/29/2020 VO-India 3
VOPlot 2 D: Available Features Has all the features of versatile graphical tool n n n Scatter plots Connected plots Histograms Logarithmic axes Overlaying for comparison of plots. Auto-ranging 10/29/2020 VO-India 4
VOPlot 2 D: Features contd. Supports basic statistical analysis: several univariate and multivariate functions supported. Column transformations based on expression. Data subset creation based on filter condition. Inter-operable with Aladin developed by CDS. n This enables simultaneous visualization of some graph in VOPlot together with a representation as a sky plot in Aladin. VOPlot 3 D - Introduction Motivation: Web-based visualization of data in VOTable format in 3 D. Should be interactive – operations on graph such as rotations, translation, zooming should be easily possible. Should support user interface similar to 2 D VOPlot.
