Can volunteering still continue during Covid-19? You can volunteer outside your home if: •

Can volunteering still continue during Covid-19? You can volunteer outside your home if: • you cannot volunteer from home • you follow the social distancing guidelines • no one in your household has symptoms of coronavirus • no one in your household has tested positive for coronavirus • If you’re clinically extremely vulnerable, you can volunteer from home. You’re advised to not volunteer outside your home.

Things organisations need to do Complete a volunteer Covid safe agreement with each volunteer Carry out a C 19 risk assessment Provide areas for hand washing/sanitisation Down load the Track and Trace QR code Keep regular records of volunteer contact details

During Volunteering Activity Where possible all volunteering should take place outdoors – if not

During Volunteering Activity Where possible all volunteering should take place outdoors – if not possible masks must be worn indoors Volunteers must keep 2 m distance from each other – in indoor spaces its good practice to mark out areas which the public may use Volunteers should have access to hand washing and or sanitiser which should be used at regular interval Masks must be worn indoors at all times and outdoors if 2 m distance cannot be kept

Reporting concerns If a volunteer has symptoms of Covid 19 they must not attend

Reporting concerns If a volunteer has symptoms of Covid 19 they must not attend the volunteering activity They should contact 119 and book a test If they test positive they must inform test, track and trace of their volunteering activity. Organisations must give the volunteer a named contact within the organisations who is able to liaise with test track and trace and share details of any individuals they may have had contact with.
