What is expected? BHES volunteers first, and most importantly… Help our Beacons SHINE!

How Do I Do That? • Model appropriate behaviors for our students at all times by using patience, respect and courtesy with everyone. • Be discreet and trustworthy with confidential matters relating to the classroom and our students. • Always be prompt and consistent in your attendance. If you have a conflict, notify the front office.

What else can I do? Share your ideas for ways to contribute your time and talents to BHES. Our PTA Board welcomes idea sharing and feedback for ways to improve our experiences at BHES.

BHES Special Rules… • Always park in the designated visitor parking. • Sign in at the front office as a VOLUNTEER and make certain that your name tag is visible at ALL times. • Remain in your designated work areas during your time at BHES. • Make childcare arrangements for younger children. For their safety, younger children are not allowed to accompany volunteers who are serving in any role.

Just a few more… • Please schedule conferences or special appointments outside of your volunteer time. • Do not enter any back office areas as this is to protect the confidentiality of our students. • Do not enter any bathroom identified for children’s use. Adult restrooms are located in the front lobby just across from the front office. • Unless otherwise instructed do not complete tasks in the classroom.

A volunteer should NEVER be left alone with a child without staff supervision. This is to protect you and the student.

Thank you for taking the time to volunteer! We could not be the school we are without great parents/volunteers like YOU!
