DISABILITY/WORKER’S COMPENSATION DISABILTY Administered by Guardian Long Term Disability Provides 65% income continuation • All staff automatically enrolled upon hire • Pre-existing condition clause applies for first 12 months • Income continuation during long periods of illness or injury resulting in temporary or permanent disability • Benefits payable at 65% of salary • Clerical/Service -Benefits payable after 90 calendar days • Faculty/Administrative/Professional Staff Benefits payable after 180 calendar days Short Term Disability Provides 65% income continuation • Administrative and Operational Support, and Skilled Trades staff only eligible after one year of service • Enroll during annual open enrollment • Income continuation for periods of injury/illness • Benefits payable at 65% of salary • 21 calendar day waiting period before benefits are payable • Beginning the fourth week off work due to illness/injury
